When it comes to movies, the advertising poster is your porthole to what you can expect from the actual movie. One of the most popular genres is Horror Movie Posters. Horror film is a world defined by serial killers, ghosts, ghouls, cannibalism, werewolves, ancient curses, Satanism, demons, vicious animals.
Everyone remembers their first horror film, for me it was hiding underneath the covers shaking with fear while Freddy haunted dreams and Ash battled the ultimate evil of the Necromonicon. These classic movies, along with their earlier counterparts, began my life long love of horror.
While walking through the aisles of the local video store the horror section always provided the most intrigue, with the promise of knife wielding dolls, zombies and tongue in cheek gore displayed by the video covers and posters hanging on the walls.
A designer has an idea that a horror movie poster includes certain emotions like scary, suspenseful, and even terrifying while entertaining at the same time invoking the fear and the specific elements that come to life to tell a story.

Great inspiration list! They are all scary but my favorite is the Final Destination 4 … I might try to recreate some of these 🙂 thanks for sharing!
The Broken, The Howling, Descent are really creative
The Howling is the best. What a classic horror poster.
